July 2009

Dear Lifeline Supporter,

Janet and I would like to thank all of you for your prayers.  Janet continues to recover, but still deals with chronic fatigue. Last week we spent a couple of days at Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, FL.  They are attempting to determine how the Klebsiella bacterium is getting into her bloodstream. Our faith is strong as we continue to covet your prayers.

It is time for us to start our planning for the 2009 Shoeboxes. This effort is being coordinated through Gene Miller in Bainbridge, GA. Gene and Art Shoemaker of Albany, GA. have done a wonderful job over the last few years with this ministry. Again, these gift boxes are the only gifts that many of these precious Mexican children will receive. So roll up your sleeves and get involved and let’s make this a banner year.

I had hoped to announce our new website before this letter went to publication. However, we do plan to be up and running before the end of July.  Cindy Trulock has undertaken this task and is pulling her hair out! (As you can see, Cindy edited this sentence, but she is doing a remarkable job and her hair is intact!) We are excited about this web page and the numerous link potentials it possesses. We are equally excited about the photo archive. You will be able to access pictures that date back to our foundation.  In fact, some of them are so old that Brother Cleo Herndon still has hair and Gene Trulock’s is a whole lot thicker. This will certainly be a journey down memory lane for many of you.

We are trying to get a trip up to Reynosa for the end of July and have room for some “mission minded” folks.

Thank you for your continued financial support as well as for your continued prayers.
