The Importance of Prayer

Lifeline Encourages all mission trip participants

to get commitments from prayer warriors to pray

continually for:  divine appointments with those

who are lost, traveling mercies, watch-care over

family members back home,

and anointing for preaching.

Insurance Required

-The vehicle must have Mexican Insurance since Mexico does not recognize insurance from America.

-If you have an accident in Mexico without Mexican insurance they will compound your vehicle until all damages are paid.

-Mexican insurance can be obtained in advance.

Call Lifeline for information or go to trip insurance.

Important Documents and Paperwork                           Needed

-Must have a passport.  If you are driving, a letter from the owner of the vehicle designating you as the driver, as well as authorizing permission for the vehicle to travel into Mexico, is essential.

-The driver must have a credit card in

his or her name.  You must pay an

entrance fee into Mexico that must

be paid by that credit card.

Type of Clothing to Wear

-Both men and women are to dress modestly.  In order not to be a stumbling block to our Mexican brothers and sisters in Christ, we will observe their custom and guidelines of dress.

Women are not allowed to wear shorts at any time.  Sleeveless blouses or dresses are not aceptable. Short dresses or skirts are not to be worn. All skirts and dresses must be at least knee length. You will  not need “formal” dresses, however you are requested to wear casual dresses or skirts at all times.  Pants or jeans  may be worn as long as they are modest.

Men are to dress casually.  Khaki pants, blue jeans, or long shorts are acceptable.Shirts may

be polo, pullover, or button-up. We

request that a tie be worn during

preaching.

MISSION TRIPS

"Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Ghost; teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you; and, lo, I am with you always, even until the end of the world.  Amen"  Matthew 28:19-20

Character, Conduct, and Witness

-Absolutely NO smoking (drinking or drugs) will be allowed for any reason on the mission trip.

-The Mexican people’s theology equates

smoking with demon possession.

How About the Cost?

-Because Lifeline offers such an array of Mission Trips, the cost will literally depend on your choice.

-If your group is not doing a specific building project you are generally looking at whatever the cost of transportation (fly or drive) may be. Food and accommodations on our Mexican trips are provided at our Lifeline facility at a cost of $100 per person and we suggest at least a $500(per group) gift offering to the Mexican church facilitating this trip.

-If you are doing a building project a team should expect to add  $5000 per project to the above cost.

-These suggested amounts should give you a fair assessment of cost with transportation being the variable. A flight to Mexico is approximately $500 and $1500 to the Philippines.

-Although it is not mandatory, we would strongly suggest you encourage each of your mission team members to raise their own money to facilitate their trip. Experience has taught us that this is an invaluable part of the spiritual preparation of each member.

What We will Eat

-Consumption will vary from eating at motels/hotels, or                          restaurants. Occasionally American cuisine                         is available. However, you will often be                         invited to eat in Mexican homes.

What We Should Take with Us

-Cameras, camcorders, and tape recorders are permitted.  (Supplies for each may be obtained in Mexico but are much cheaper in the states.  Therefore it is recommended that you take what you will need.)

-Mission teams should not carry

clothes or other items to be given

away.  Lifeline will get these items into Mexico for you. Attempting this could result in serious consequences.
