Matthew 9:21-22 For she said within herself, If I may but touch his garment, I shall be whole. But Jesus turned him about, and when he saw her, he said, “Daughter, be of good comfort; thy faith hath made thee whole”. And the woman was made whole from that hour.
As soon as we left Alicante, Mexico and I could obtain a telephone signal, I called Janet just to touch home base and share the highlights of our trip. She was excited about the healings that had taken place and specifically the situation surrounding Maria. At approximately 1:30 AM that night, Gene and I received a wakeup call from Cindy. She had just admitted Janet to the hospital.
Here I am, fourteen hundred miles from home and my wife is being admitted to intensive care with sepsis infection for the fourth time in the last fourteen months! I have returned home from the last four trips to Mexico only to face similar situations. Even at this time little did I know my mother was only three days from also being admitted to the hospital in Waynesboro, Georgia. The enemy knows when to attack.
Later on that day, Cindy updates us and shared that Janet wanted to know why God would not heal her as He had Maria. I informed Cindy that the team had prayer for Janet earlier in the day with our breakfast devotional, but would continue to lift her up in prayer. Later that evening, I received a call from Janet’s brother. He informed me that everything was normal. Her temperature and blood pressure had returned to normal readings. Praise God for His healing touch.
I returned home, got Janet out of the hospital and left on another four-hour drive to Waynesboro. At this writing, mother is home from the hospital and recovering just fine.
God’s miracles are not limited to Mexico. He is on the throne and still greater than any problem we might have, and that’s the way I see it.
