As I See It
February 2009
A friend of mine sent me an interesting cartoon quote the other day. It stated, “God does not call the qualified, He qualifies the called.” God has a great question in His Book. It is this: “What shall I do with Jesus, who is called Christ?” It is not until we have said “Yes” to Jesus that we can possibly rise to the highest possibilities of our own lives. No man is at his best until he has linked his own possibilities to the power of Christ.
When I accepted the call to full time service, Jimmy Keyton stated that for the first time in my life I was doing something that could change the world because I had linked to a cause greater than myself. God has great plans for your life. He loves you so much that He sent His Son to die for you. The Christian life is the noblest and happiest life that you could possibly live, but it is no bed of roses and it is not a holiday journey. Once you enter into a commitment for Christian service, it will be a battle from that day until you rest with our Lord in heaven. It is a demanding life; to live it rightly means a full and complete surrender to the will of God. Yet, I would rather fight a good fight of faith and endure the trials and tribulations along the way than to go along without Him. Say yes to Jesus and link your life to His power and I assure you, He will qualify you to His service and that’s the way I see it!
