Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour.  (1 Peter 5:8)

Satan lost his high position in heaven and was cast out.  He has never recovered from his downfall, and forever since he has been trying to defeat the purpose and work of God.

What is God’s purpose? It is to save people, and for this purpose He gave His only begotten Son to die upon Calvary’s cross.

The devil has tried to give the world another Gospel. He does not care if you are religious and go to church. He just wants you to leave out the one saving element---the atonement of Christ and His blood as a covering from sin. Thousands of preachers today are preaching this bloodless Gospel.  They talk of world peace and preservation of Democracy and the good neighbor policy. These elements are fine in their place, but these men have not one word to tell people that they are lost sinners and that Christ can save them.

In Galatians 1:8 “Though we, or an angel from heaven, preached any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.”  Today Satan is preaching another gospel. He is preaching that God is too good to allow a man to be lost. Satan is preaching that man should be good and honest and treats his family well, and thus shall be saved. We are not saved by our own goodness, but “By grace are ye saved through faith and that not of yourselves”. (Ephesians 2:8)

There are numerous of these “feel good” preachers today, but my friend, there is only one Gospel. The atoning blood of Jesus Christ and that’s the way I see it.
